Ramshorn Snail (Planorbidae sp.)

Feeding: Ramshorns eat algae and any other green plants in your aquaria
Tankmates: You can keep them in a community aquarium with small peaceful fish such as guppies, neons, white clouds. Large fish may eat snails. Clown loaches, large gouramis, and many cichlids will eat snails.
Water: Ramshorn snails thrive in hard, alkaline water. Soft, acid water tends to dissolve their shells (make pits in them or turn them white). Add NovAqua to remove the chlorine and any heavy metals. Salt and copper based medications both will stress and/or kill snails.
