Gold Head Compressiceps

(Grows to- 5")(Temp- 75-80) From lake Tanganyika.  High arching back with pointed snout.  Provide a rocky habitat with a pH 7.5-8.0  Also provide small snail shells for hiding and breeding.  Feed meaty sinking foods crustaceans  and insect larvae tetrabits, brine shrimp and daphnia work well. (Altolamprologus compressicep)

This is an impressive fish with deeply sloping forehead and laterally compressed body.  Some variants possess fluorescent yellow from posterior to the tip of the snout.  Grows to 4-6", with males being larger.  Somewhat peaceful and shy, but may chase smaller fish.  Supply caves for breeding and retreat.
