They search for food by sifting through the substrate with their sensitive barbels, and sometimes bury into the sand.  A soft, fine grained substrate is advised.  (Tank size 50+ gal) Feed flakes, frozen shrimp and bloodworms. (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus)
