Submersed leaves usually cease growth at 18-20 inches.  A mineral fertilizer in the gravel is helpful. Excellent as centerpiece or background plant. (Echinodorus paniculatus)


The large leaves are sometimes a prefered breeding spot for some egg laying cichlids such as Angelfish.
